Vote Climate will help you put into office leaders who will act to join the hundreds of cities around the world in this vital effort to reduce our carbon emission by half by 2030. Vote Climate will identify those candidates willing to adopt and implement equitable community-wide climate action plans.
This and next year’s elections are climate elections. They are our last chance for effective climate action. We have run out of time. If those elected fail to put in place the policies and program needed to reduce our carbon emissions by half by 2030, then the opportunity to bend the trajectory of climate change will vanish forever. Climate action is an informed choice between desirable and catastrophic outcomes. Inaction is understood as a choice for severe climate change.
A very first significant step toward that goal starts with you signing up to join the Vote Climate Team. The Team will identify climate action candidates in the upcoming City primary for mayor and four city council seats. Early voting starts August 7, so we need to get moving.
